Atrabilious centers on Steven Joyner's quest to uncover the truth behind his son's sudden and tragic, possibly staged, death. His investigation takes him to the eponymous bar, Atrabilious, where he starts to delve into the establishment's past.
William Atticus Parker, at nineteen, is the writer, director, and producer of the feature films "Forty Winks" (2022) and "Atrabilious" (2023). He gained critical acclaim for his debut feature film, "Forty Winks" (2022). His second feature, "Atrabilious" (2023), was announced on Deadline in October 2022. Parker's work is often characterized as darkly comedic psychological thrillers with touches of magical realism and horror. "Forty Winks" was shot in black and white, while "Atrabilious" was filmed with a vibrant neon color palette. He served as the cinematographer and editor for "Atrabilious," and as the production designer, colorist, and casting director for both films. His influences include Jordan Peele, Ari Aster, Donald Glover, Bill Hader, Spike Lee, Wes Anderson, and Joel & Ethan Coen.
